Ask the Director
What is the neighborhood replanting program and how can I get involved?
The neighborhood-replanting program is designed to increase Ventura's urban forest by planting replacement trees in vacant locations. Park's staff can evaluate empty tree sites on your street to ensure that they meet the criteria for replanting. Once the evaluation is complete, a neighborhood meeting will be scheduled. At that meeting, a planting and care schedule will be developed. The success of the replanting program depends on residents taking an active role in the selection, and care of newly planted trees. To become involved in the neighborhood-replanting program, please call 652-4550.
