Downtown Streetscape Project

What is public art? Watch local artists beautify the downtown and create new works for Ventura’s public Art collection. Local artists and kindergarten students at Pierpont Elementary School will paint utility boxes along Main street at Oak, Palm, California, Chestnut, and Figueroa Plaza during ArtWalk. Artists were selected on a competitive basis by Ventura’s Public Art Commission.

Documenting what’s on your creative mind

Share your experiences about the arts or artists during ArtWalk. Simply relay your thoughts about how art affects you, your friends or family. It’s our version of NPR’s Story Corps but with a flavor that’s all Ventura. The best stories will become part of a special feature of the ArtWalk website and shown on VTV channel 15! It’s all made possible by the folks at CAPS- TV (Community Access Partners of San Buenaventura).
