After wandering much of Western Europe and most of the continental United States, Chris has settled down in Southern California. There is no place he would rather live…for the moment, at least.

Chris has had cameras from a young age, starting out with an old Brownie. But he truly began to love the medium with the purchase of his first SLR. The freedom, versatility and spontaneity afforded by this system were his first true inspiration. Large format photography brought patience and a more thought out approach as well as a new aspiration.

Having explored many phases of photography; commercial, nature, abstract, etc., Chris has come full circle to focus on more traditional images. But with a difference: Chris’ looks to find energy with serenity, drama with an emphasis towards contemplation. Not unlike Miksang, though without such a direct reference to Buddhism. However, the philosophy is secondary. First, and foremost, Chris hopes you enjoy his photography.
