A full time lawyer and a part time photographer, Bill
Pangburn has been wandering the Southwest for the last fifteen years looking
for the perfect landscape. The pictures
on display at Winchester Bar & Grill are a representative sampling of his
photographs taken over those years, with locations ranging as far north as
central Utah to south of Tucson, through eastern New Mexico and to the western
borders of Nevada and Arizona.
Photographs include ancient Indian dwellings and ceremonial sites to the
grander of the Grand Canyon, the mystic antelope canyons, and the quite beauty
of the Painted Desert.
Bill works with a medium format camera which uses 120 film
and most of his shots are done with color reversal film, which produces a color
transparency. The transparency is used
to make the print, which can be printed on various forms of paper, each
producing a different effect.
