imagesIn 1985, I was lucky enough to move to the land of opportunities, America. Here, I was encouraged by my parents, teachers and other mentors to follow my dreams. My parents recognized my love for art early in my life. Thus, after school, art class with a private teacher became an integral and enjoyable part of my weekly routine. Soon, art became the pinnacle of my life and a safe haven from everyday stressors.  It was not just an extracurricular activity. Still, to this day, I am expanding and improving on my artistic skills, always searching for inspiration to spawn a new idea.

As my academic career progressed, I veered into the avenue of textile design from the main boulevard of art. Even after earning an undergraduate degree with an emphasis in textile design, my thirst for knowledge in the field had not been quenched. Through pursuing a higher education in the field, I knew I could further develop my portfolio, and be given more job opportunities.

I attended the graduate program at the Academy of Art University. There, I was exposed to the art of presentation and the diversity of design, necessary to complete a collection for a specific job market.  The more I learned, the more I realized that there was so much more to learn. Therefore, to become a more well rounded artist, I wish to take advantage of the innovative developments of today’s technology to fulfill my curiosity in creating diversified designs.
