Puppetry Programs


Designed especially for younger students, we will bring these programs to local schools, or you may wish to visit Arroyo Verde Park for your puppet show. You may also arrange to have your puppet show presented at a local park near your school.

Our Feathered Friends For preschool through 2nd grade
Cost:
$2.50 per child with a $50 minimum. Non-resident fee please add $15 per program.
Baby birds, nests, and bird songs! This lively, fast-paced one-hour program will focus on bird biology and behavior. "Our Feathered Friends" features:

  • The story of Dudley the duckling and his bird friends told with hand puppets
  • "Bird Feet Rap" and other songs
  • A costume dress up activity
  • Circle share with bird nests, feathers and eggs.


Ladybug and her Creepy Crawly Friends
For preschool through 2nd grade
Cost:
$2.50 per child with a $50 minimum. Non-resident fee please add $15 per program.
Will Ladybug and her insect puppet friends be able to save Kelly the Caterpillar from being stuck in a pickle jar? Find out during this activity-packed program which is designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of insects. This one-hour program includes:

  • Ladybug and her puppets tell the story of Kelly the Caterpillar's adventure
  • "Is it an insect?" activity
  • Songs and circle share with insect specimens

Marla the Mermaid and Company For preschool through 2nd grade
Cost

Marine mammals are the focus of this imaginary underwater adventure presented by our costumed character, Marla the Mermaid. Activities in this one-hour program include:

  • Dolphin dress up activity
  • Hand puppets
  • "Animals don't like junk food" activity
  • Songs
  • Hands-on materials

Mother Nature's Furry Foothill CrittersPreschool through 2nd grade Cost: $2.50 per child with a $50 minimum. Non-resident fee please add $15 per program.
All of Mother Nature's critters have a special place that they call home sweet home. Discover the habitats of many local animals such as the raccoon, eagle, bear and even skunk, as Mother Nature's special critter friend, Sidney the Snail, searches for a new home. This one-hour program includes:

  • Hand puppets
  • Costumed mother nature
  • Songs, finger puppets, and rhymes
  • Hands-on materials, including several kinds of fur and antlers

Rain Forest Ramble Preschool through 2nd grade
Cost:
$2.50 per child with a $50 minimum. Non-resident fee please add $15 per program.
Take an imaginary walk through a tropical rain forest. During our journey children will meet the fascinating animals and plants that live in this endangered habitat. This one-hour puppetry program includes:

  • A rain forest tale told with hand puppets — "Layers of Life" and rainfall activities

  • Hands-on rain forest materials
