Ventura Aquatic Center Rules

Ventura Aquatic Center Facility Use Rules:

  1. POOL FACILITY OCCUPANCY LIMITED TO 400.
  2. Everyone entering the facility must pay facility admission fee.
  3. In order to ride waterslides you must be 42" tall.
  4. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person 18 years of age or older.
  5. Proper swim attire is required for pool use. No street clothes or cut offs. Swim diapers are required for children not potty trained.
  6. Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted for use during recreational swim times.
  7. No loitering in the locker rooms, pool area, or lobby.
  8. A shower is encouraged prior to entering the pool.
  9. Ventura Aquatic Center is not responsible for personal belongings. Lockers are for day use only.
  10. All food and drink must remain inside picnic areas. No glass containers allowed.

The following are prohibited when using the facility:

Possession of weapons, use of alcohol, narcotics or smoking, persons under the influence of alcohol or narcotics, animals, glass bottles, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades and/or loud radios.

Ventura Aquatic Center Facility Pool Rules:

  1. Active in-water supervision, within arms reach, is required for all non-swimmers.
  2. No diving in the recreation pool or water playground pool.
  3. No excessive breath holding or hypoxic training.
  4. All persons having open wounds, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other condition that has the appearance of being infectious shall be refused admittance to the pools.
  5. All patrons are encouraged to take a shower before entering the pool.
  6. Proper swim attire is required for pool use. No street clothes or cut offs. Swim diapers are required for children not potty trained.
  7. Children or anyone who does not demonstrate the ability to swim safely in the deep end must pass a deep-water swim test before entering the competition pool.
  8. Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted for use during recreational swim times.
  9. No running, pushing, roughhousing or hanging on the backs of other swimmers.
  10. The use of fins, snorkels and toys are prohibited during recreational swim times.
