The City of Ventura offers Adult Sports programs to the community throughout the year. Winter leagues begin in January, Summer leagues begin in June, and Fall leagues begin in September. Currently the Adult Sports section coordinates the activities of over 350 softball teams, 120 basketball teams, and 200 teams & individuals entered in tournaments or classes. It is our mission to provide a wide variety of adult sport leagues, tournaments, classes, and special events based upon community needs that promote healthy lifestyle choices.
Registration
Teams may register for Adult Sports programs by phone, fax, mail, or in
person on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams may choose the night
they wish to play by submitting a roster with payment during the registration
period. Only a limited number of teams will be allowed to register on
a given night. City staff will not reserve or hold a spot for a team.
Once a league is filled no new teams may register to play on that night.
Register by calling 658-4726, or come to the Community Services Department office, 501 Poli Street, Ventura, CA 93002, Room 226. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Holiday Schedule
The City of Ventura traditionally schedules around the following holidays:
Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
