Official Basketball Rules
The rules and conditions of the City of Ventura basketball program will follow the C.I.F Rulebook. The following variations will be used to determine an overall winner for each division:

1. Game time is forfeit time. If 3 players have not arrived before the start of the game, the game will be forfeited and all fees paid by the forfeiting team. Games may be started with 3 players and will continue as long as two eligible players remain on the floor.
2. Teams will play two 20 minute halves with a running clock except in the last two minutes of each half. If the difference in the game score is more than 14 points during the 1st or 2nd half, the clockcontinues to run.
3. Players may enter the game during dead ball fouls or timeouts.
4. On the seventh team foul a player shoots "one & one," and after the tenth team foul the player shoots 2 free throws.
5. Teams will receive four timeouts per game. Timeouts will be 1 minute in length and can be used at the team's discretion.
6. Overtime is 3 minutes with a running clock.
7. Uniforms with numbers are required.
8.   Each player must have picture ID available at every game.
