Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Ventura’s Senior Services Section is to provide mature adults with recreational, social, educational and leisure activities that will help them continue living a healthy, active and independent lifestyle.

Our intent is to treat each individual with respect, dignity and kindness to insure the highest quality of service.

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, race, creed, disability, marital status or sexual orientation.

Respect the privacy of the individual being served.
All information gained from the customer or the customer’s records are strictly confidential.
Each customer is treated with respect as an individual and a person of worth.
Senior Services Overview and Staff
Ventura Senior Services, Programs and Centers provide special classes, events, excursions far and near, a computer lab and a variety of health and fitness programs, social services programs, recreation and leisure activities, educational programming and special events for adults 50 and over. In addition, there are many volunteer opportunities available.

Senior Services also has many programs located throughout the community at collaborative sites. If you are new to the area or have just turned 50, please call to explore what is available to you.
